More accurate on every parsing category
LlamaParse reads complex documents more accurately than Extend. On ParseBench it leads in every category, 86.61 to 75.33 overall, by 26 points on formatting and 12 on charts.
On the most complex extraction cases, the lead holds. On ExtractBench Pro, LlamaParse Agentic Plus gets 38% of documents entirely right. Extend Operator, its top-priced tier, gets 34%.
Far less human review
Every value LlamaParse extracts comes with a confidence score and a citation to its source, so reviewers check the uncertain values and accept the rest.
Set the bar at 97% accuracy, and 66.48% of values clear it without review. Extend's Review Agent has no setting that reaches that bar, so every field goes to a person.

Spreadsheets without the PDF detour
LlamaParse extracts straight from Excel and CSV cells, including records spread across worksheets. Pull holdings from a fund workbook or line items from a ledger without converting the file.
On ExtractBench, LlamaParse Cost Effective scores 94.21% at $10 per 1,000 pages and Agentic scores 95.65% at $31.25. Extend's tested Extract configuration scores 85.72% at $68, while Max Context scores 88.62% at $100. LlamaParse also offers lower entry-tier pricing: $10 for Cost Effective versus $12 for Extend Light, and $31.25 for Agentic versus $50 for Extend Performance. Light and Performance do not have published ExtractBench scores. Confidence scores are included in LlamaParse's price; on Extend they cost extra. With Cost Optimizer mode, LlamaParse routes simpler pages to lower-cost processing tiers while keeping higher-accuracy processing for difficult ones.
Run it where your data has to stay
LlamaParse is hosted in North America and the EU, or as a dedicated deployment run by LlamaIndex. Enterprise customers run it in their own AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account, or on-premises.
LlamaParse has a SOC 2 Type II audit, does not train on customer data by default, and its LLM providers keep none of your data. You can delete data on demand or turn caching off.
